The European Union’s International Charlemagne Prize is awarded to politicians for their contributions to the Unification of Europe. But who was this Charlemagne?
Frankish immigrants to the Old Roman Empire “settled” on the territory of the Roman Empire and on lands owned for millennia by Celts. Charlemagne, a member of that Frankish minority and a native born citizen of the Empire, was crowned Emperor of that Old roman Empire by Pope Leo III in Rome on Christmas day in 800 A.D. Charlemagne traveled from his home town Aachen (Aix La Chapelle) to Rome for his coronation.
It was quite common for members of ethnic minorities to become Roman emperors. By his actions Charlemagne, the Emperor of Rome, (who never learned to write) delivered the final blow that destroyed the old Roman Empire that had lasted over a millennium. Charlemagne destroyed the state he was a citizen of. He divided the Empire among his sons. He subverted the Roman civilization, inaugurated the Dark Ages in Europe, Charlemagne initiated the repression of the Jews. Charlemagne used the pretence of spreading Christianity and the power of the Church to conquer and subjugate the independent nations of Europe. (This will strike a cord today with Poles, Irish, Maltese, Italians etc whose politicians have collaborated with the Roman Catholic Church to establish the European Union – ed)
Charlemagne’s version of Christianity was a contemptuous, brutal mockery of the teachings of Jesus. For a whole millennium the peoples of Europe suffered under the oppression and brutality of Charlemagne’s policies. Charlemagne was the father of the infamous ‘Drang nach Osten’ and holocaust, aped 1100 years later by Adolf Hitler, the Fuehrer of the Third Reich, who claimed the inheritance of the power of “Karl der Grosse” (or Charlemagne – the ruler of the First Empire (Reich) from which the Nazis therefore counted their “Third Reich” . (see on this website “Blair’s Charlemagne Prize created by Nazis” www.freenations.freeuk.com/news-2003-12-11.html and see also the chapter on Charlemagne in Rodney Atkinson’s book Fascist Europe Rising, obtainable on this website under Publications)
According to post war plans The European Union was supposed to be patterned on the structure of the USA. But the core states of the EU and their self-aspiring ruling clique adopted Charlemagne as their Patron Saint. We were led to believe that the image of American democracy would be the driving force behind the formation of the EU. Now we see it is the brutal war monger Charlemagne who provides the vision of a United Europe. The New World Order will be nothing but a refurbished version of the Old World Order. Few will rule over many.
It is very unfortunate, that today’s Europeans did not deem it propitious to select Charles IV, the King of Bohemia, Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire instead of Charlemagne, as a mascot for the EU. Charles IV, before he became king of Bohemia, founded Monte Carlo, which is in today’s Monaco. After he became Emperor Charles IV in his “Golden Bull” laid down the principles of federalization, established a “college of electors” and formulated rules for electing the emperor.”
While Charlemagne was a proponent of “Unification by the Sword”, Charles IV established “Rules of Law” to secure justice and the orderly transfer of power. In 1776 refugees from religiously oppressive and dictatorial regimes in Europe founded a new state, on what they called the American continent. Citizens of this new state, the United States of America, revived the ideas of freedom and democracy based on the rule of law, ideas that were products of Greek civilization that was centuries old – and thousands of miles removed from Charlemagne, the Nazis favourite and the inspiration of the European Union today.
