David Cameron’s corporatist fascist credentials have never before been so openly exposed. After negotiating a pathetically weak “new deal” with the EU’s representative Donald Tusk he went not to Parliament to face MPs to explain the new relationship he claimed he was establishing with the EU – no he went to Swindon to the Headquarters of that eurofanatic corporate, the German company Siemens whose record under the last German leader to rule Europe was truly despicable.
The next day Cameron went on to tell his MPs not to take any notice of the electorates or local constituency parties but decide – as Cameron himself has – not on democratic grounds but on what is good for big business – like those wonderful banks who brought the country to its knees 7 years ago and for which the British people will be paying for generations to come! or those big multi nationals who pay less tax than their office cleaning ladies.
In 1997 the Tory Party suffered its greatest electoral defeat since 1906. It had abandoned democratic sovereignty, free trade, enterprise capitalism and social Conservatism – surrendering instead to supranational corporatism. Incredibly Cameron was elected its leader on the promise to be “the heir” to that arch corporatist/socialist Tony Blair – the very personification of euro-corporate corruption.
Now as the UK decides whether it should re-establish its status as one of the 160 plus sovereign countries in the world – or continue as a powerless province of “the country called Europe” -we see Cameron’s true values. He prefers big business and supranational control to parliamentary sovereignty and international trade.
As we reported on this site late last year, SIEMENS is involved closely with the German security services and was favoured by the stupid British Government for UK transport infrastructure over British based companies (by Philip Hammond as Transport Secretary, now the Foreign Secretary negotiating a “new relationship” with the EU!) But Siemens has for years been exposed for massive corporate corruption in many parts of the world and been fined hundreds of millions of Dollars.
Siemens was a major contractor for the Nazi regime, tripling its turnover and capital between 1933 (when the Nazis came to power) and 1938. It was one of the select Nazi corporations assembled in August 1944 at the “Red House” meeting in Strasbourg where leading SS officials told the leaders of these firms that they should
• finance the underground Nazi party
• extend German interests abroad
• export capital
Siemens was a member of the “Freundeskreis des Reichsfuehrers SS” (Friends of the SS) financing and working closely with them in all important Hitlerian projects. The Auschwitz commander Rudolf Hos in his evidence at the Nuremberg trials named the companies which had benefited from the exploitation of slave labour sent from concentrations camps – among them Siemens.
Today Siemens is an enthusiastic supporter of the European Union and warns the British not to leave! Cameron agrees with him. Indeed even before he began his “negotiations” with the EU over the return of British national sovereignty he admitted to an Italian radio programme that he would not lead a call for the UK to leave the EU – thus from the outset throwing away any bargaining power he might have possessed!
Cameron had never demanded anything really substantial in the way of returning democratic sovereignty to the UK, removing the power of the EU Court to make law, stopping treaty changes without formal national agreement, stopping EU citizens moving freely to the UK, reinstating free trade as a principal of the EU and much else but even his pathetically limited demands have not been met.
- He did not try to prevent all EU citizens having an automatic right to march across our borders but he said Migrants had to contribute through work for 4 years before they could get benefits. HE DID NOT GET THAT
- An EU citizen working in the UK with a child abroad should not be able to send benefits home. HE DID NOT GET THAT
- As a non Euro member the UK could veto any Eurozone measure which disadvantaged it. HE DID NOT GET THAT
- He wanted to exclude the UK from the EU working time directive (ruinous to NHS finances inter alia). HE DID NOT GET THAT
- Crackdown on illegal marriages and illegal workers from non EU states. ACHIEVED – but a bit like a declaration against sin!
- National parliaments could combine to reject legislation. HE DID NOT GET THAT – merely if 55% of parliaments rejected laws then they would “be discussed”!!!
- UK could reject “ever closer union”. Promise to incorporate this into new treaty – sometime!
- Recognition that the EU is a “multi currency union”. A weak wording to say that “not all member states have the Euro as their currency” – but no commitment not to force them to in the future!
Cameron has failed, failed and failed again –
in support of the corporatist euro-fascist State he loves!
