One thing is crystal clear as the UK breaks free of the EU. The British will not and cannot make their democratic sovereignty, borders and internal laws the subject of negotiation with the European Union. The fifth largest economy in the world and its (at least!) 800 year old British constitution with a world leading capital at the centre of the English speaking world will restore its existence as an independent nation state – rejoining the ranks of some 160 other self governing states!
Boris Johnson has started well as Prime Minister (with a big bounce in support for his party, a 10% lead over Labour with Liberal and Labour splitting the Remain vote between them). It is a Government determined to leave the EU as the British people commanded. “Leave” means putting us back into the same constitutional state we were in before we joined in 1972. The slightest weakening of Johnson’s words or resolve or in the clean Brexit on 31st October will mean disaster for him and his party.
The UK and the USA are already working on what Donald Trump has called a “very substantial trade deal”. The US Ambassador in London has said Britain will be “at the front of the line” for a trade deal (thus pouring scorn on that threatening Obama intervention – encouraged by then Prime Minister David Cameron – when he said we would be “at the back of the queue” for such a deal). We have a trade surplus with the USA!
Johnson, emphasising the 31st October leave date, has said he will not nominate a British EU Commissioner (who would have taken office on November 1st).
At an extremely effective first Prime Minister’s questions Boris confirmed that the UK will take back control of our internationally recognised fishing grounds and they would not be traded away in any deal. Let us assume that Sajid Javid the new Chancellor of the Exchequer will give priority to spending on fishery protection vessels!
EU IMPERIALISTS KEEP UP THE THREATS
Living in another universe Michel Barnier the EU Chief Negotiator thinks Mrs May’s appalling “deal” is still on the table:
“We look forward to working constructively w/ PM @BorisJohnson when he takes office, to facilitate the ratification of the Withdrawal Agreement and achieve an orderly #Brexit”
And the EU’s 2020 budget includes the assumed £39bn payment by the UK in that “Withdrawal Agreement”! Of course it makes no difference to the corporatist unelected bureaucrat that the British Parliament has three times thrown out the Agreement. For the technocrat people’s votes are a trivial distraction from the imperial march. It was Angela Merkel who said that no matter how Greeks voted it would make no difference to the EU’s economic policy and control of Greece.
Germany’s Europe Minister Michael Roth patronisingly told Boris Johnson to “calm down”:
“What do not help are new provocations. Instead, dialogue – one must be able to expect that from the leader of a friendly nation, one that is still a member of the European Union.”
The EU think they are still dealing with the Remainer puppet Theresa May who was described by Emmanuel Macron as having been “incredibly loyal and respectful” to to the European Union. No wonder there was so much smiling and kissing as she was kicked around by EU officials, locked in rooms and forced to dine on her own as the EU imperialists “decided” our fate! The degradation and humiliation of a great country by the treatment of our Prime Minister (however pathetic personally) by this bankrupt, decadent, collapsing EU will be indelibly imprinted on the British mind for decades to come.
But the EU are not dealing with May but with Johnson, the ever present threat of the Brexit party and the 72% of the British people who want Brexit to take place on or before October 31st.
LIBERAL DEMOCRATS AND REMAINERS PROVE THEIR EUROFASCISM
Readers of Freenations will recall that (as Liberals, Tory corporatists, socialists, the BBC and The Guardian appeased Nazism and opposed re-armament against Hitler in the 1930s) it was the Last Liberal Prime Minister (the womanising, corrupt, Peerage-seller David Lloyd George) who said that:
“Adolf Hitler is the greatest living German and it is a pity there are not more like him in England”
Jo Swinson, the newly-elected Liberal Democrat leader has committed to “stopping Brexit”. She graciously admits this should be by a second referendum, but when asked on the BBC News Channel whether she would accept the result of a second referendum if Leave won again, she replied: “No”
As usual it is impossible to discern in the Liberal Democrat Party any sign of liberalism or democracy!
THE REMAINER CLASS
The Remainer class is, as we know, principally made up of the middle class technocracy and State sector and big business employees – those whose feeling of intellectual superiority springs from the degrees and doctorates (handed them by people like themselves) and their secure lifetime employment and pensions guaranteed by legislation passed by people like themselves. Any direct contact with the people whom they claim to serve is rare and accidental and they are comfortably sealed off from any competitive market challenge to their privileges.
Such people tend to be in London and the South East and in University towns elsewhere. They are not the elite – they are the self appointed elitists living off the labour and investments of the real elite – the risk takers, workers, artisans and businesses daily accountable to the people in competition with others. The Remainer class have enjoyed a first class education but have ended up “dis-educated” by a State apparatus which demands narrow specialisms and unquestioning loyalty to the state-corporatist establishment. They fit perfectly into the bureaucracy of the EU empire.
Such were the types who paraded in London in a vicious, foul mouthed, ugly anti Boris Johnson march which revealed the true bankruptcy of the above mentioned “qualifications”. The PM, who appointed to three great offices of State Sajid Javid (Muslim Pakistani background), Dominic Raab (Jewish father) and Priti Patel (of Ugandan Asian family), these marching morons called “racist”. You could not make it up!
“Nazis”, “scum”, “you c…t” “F… off back to Eton”, ‘You filthy, goddamn, pock-marked fascist asshole’ were some of the sophisticated philosophical arguments put before the electorate! (https://blogs.spectator.co.uk/2019/07/the-anti-boris-demo-was-a-screech-of-middle-class-rage/) As Brendan O’Neill wrote in The Spectator:
It was made up of predominantly white, youthful, urban professionals, the sort of people who haven’t clapped eyes on a working-class person since the time that bloke from Canvey Island came to fix the boiler in the east London flat their parents help them rent.
These are the new “ancien regime” and, like the original which was swept away by the French in the bloody revolution of 1789, these corporatist leftist elitists and their unaccountable State and supranational apparatus are on the run. Their squealing obscenities grow more grotesque by the day as the people and their nation take back their freedom and make that decadent political aristocracy accountable for its failure. That day will dawn on 31st October 2019.
