It is reported from Brussels that the European Commission has been told it can restart talks with the EU’s neighbours on “deepening ties”. Precisely the same words could have been used about the EU “negotiating” with its “neighbours” at any time over the last 50 years. First the EEC of 6 negotiated with its neighbours and it became 9. Then the European Community 9 negotiated with its neighbours and it became 12. Then the EU 12 negotiated and it became 15. From 1st May the EU becomes 25 – after “negotiations”.
Now the EU has given itself permission to “negotiate” with more “neighbours”. It will come as a bit of surprise to those who can read a map of the world that these “neighbours” include – wait for it! – Israel, Jordan and Palestine – the latter a State not yet in existence!
Together with Morocco, Moldova, Tunisia and Ukraine these three countries are described as “bordering” the EU! EU member States had previously complained that the European Commission – which carries out the negotiations – was not supplying them with enough information about their negotiations. The EU, like all bureaucracies, must expand.
This is precisely the same logic used by Nazi Germany. It signed “Neighbourhood” Treaties with certain countries and then gradually sought to take them over. If it did not work (as for instance with Norway) they were simply invaded. It did not work with Yugoslavia so Germany simply undermined it (from circa 1980 onwards), illegally negotiated independence with Croatia, armed the Albanian version of the IRA in Kosovo and hey presto! Yugoslavia fell with Germany’s war-time fascist allies now first in line for membership of the EU.
Today Germany and the EU refer to those countries “bordering” the EU as their “sphere of influence” or part of the “European Space”. This is how the Nazi “Lebensraum” concept developed – and its imperial logic has no end! Whatever the size of the “European Union” it will always have neighbours who need to be “negotiated” with. Having now extended negotiations to the Middle East even the word “European” seems quaintly old fashioned.
As usual the “negotiations” will involve “areas of common interest”, “joint action plans”, “strengthening ties” and other such euphemisms for the slippery slope to “full integration”. To think that Hitler, Napoleon and all the imperialists of the world who used up all those soldiers’ lives, all that weaponry. Think of the blood left in foreign fields – and it was all unnecessary. All they needed was a dictionary of euphemisms, long term planning, the use of international treaties to destroy national constitutions and a powerful threat that if the “neighbours” did not surrender they would not be able to trade freely with the new superpower.
It is reported that these “neighbours” will eventually share ‘everything but institutions’ with the EU – meaning, for example, membership of the “single market”. But as we know from our own experience the “single Market” is designed to lead to a single government. Leading this charge is that new friend of German Europe the Irish “Presidency” of the EU, enjoying their role on the “world stage” promised by their new masters in Berlin and Brussels. The war-time President of Ireland, Eamon de Valera, that great Hitler lover, will be rejoicing!
You never know one day even the British politician might wake up to the fact that everything Britain and America fought two world wars to prevent is now happening. And we are paying for it to the tune of some £12,000m a year. With “democrats” like that who needs Nazis?
