As previously reported on the freenations website the European Union seeks to control (by abolition of every vestige of democratic nationhood) those countries within and use that power to exploit and intimidate those countries outside.
Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway (European Free Trade Area countries which were forced by the EU to sign up to the “European Economic Area” if they wished to trade with EU countries). For this “privilege” of trading with other countries they are forced to pay a ransom to the EU!!
And now these three countries will be forced to pay even higher financial contributions – 600 million Euros over the next five years – in order to benefit from trade with the 10 new EU members due to join in 2004.
This is ten times as much as today’s levy, writes the Norwegian newspaper, Aftenposten. In addition Norway will be forced to pay a further 567 million Euros into a fund for the new member countries!! In other words a non EU member is being forced at “economic gun point” as it were to finance the EU’s economic and political agenda in a part of its own domain!
The effect on Norway was summed up by a critical MP on the Left (in a suitably subdued fashion, as one would expect from a bullied lackey to the new Superpower) as follows:
“This is a very costly and not particularly good agreement which shows that the EU knows that Norway has much money. We shall now have to transfer considerable amounts of money that might have been spent in other areas…..”
In Poland, one of the main importers of fish, the loss has probably been even greater with the loss of duty free Norwegian and Icelandic fish and a probable 20% increase in fish prices, as the Polish newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza noted.
Poland and the other East European nations are voting for their own democratic and constitutional destruction not becasue they like the EU but because they have the following choice:
Be democratic, sovereign and free but prevented from free trade or
Be imprisoned, lose your recently gained democracy and sovereignty and have a chance for future prosperity – albeit controlled and decided by the new bureaucratic Superstate.
ONLY A FASCIST ORGANISATION LIKE THE EU WOULD PRESENT SUCH A CHOICE TO ANY NATION
