Germany is now – rather late in the day – worried about the Islamic appeasement and extreme dictatorship in Turkey – while Russia has the historic perspective on Turkish dangers – and the experience of reversing Islamic conquests! Erdogan is threatening to unleash hordes of refugees on Europe unless that which he, with the help of the German Chancellor Angela Merkel, extorted from the EU is immediately implemented (visa free travel, $6 billion and an agreement to take Syrian refugees from Turkey). But for years Germany has appeased Turkey and promoted Islamic extremism.
When the German parliament condemned the Armenian genocide Turkey withdrew its ambassador – but Angela Merkel rated the parliamentary resolution as “not binding”. German MPs have accused Turkey of infiltrating hundreds of spies into Germany. The threat of Turkey executing political opponents has brought German condemnation. But it is a bit late to wake up to the threat to Europe which Turkey has always represented.
RUSSIA’S TURKISH INSIGHTS
This threat has long been recognised by Russia. Russia’s victory against the Turkish Empire in 1877-78, along with its Orthodox Christian allies Bulgaria, Serbia, Romania and Montenegro, established the sovereignty of those nations and their freedom from Muslim rule. It is no wonder – now European States have seen their sovereignty (and their borders’ integrity) subsumed into the EU – that they are again under threat.
Even Russia’s defeat in the 1853-56 Crimean war led to some emancipation for Christians in the Ottoman Empire. After the confused allegiances of the Crimean War (when conflict between Orthodoxy and Roman Christianity led to France and Britain absurdly joining the Muslim Ottoman Empire against Russia) the 1856 Paris Treaty had made the Ottomans give some measure of equality to Christians. The jizya (tax on non Muslims) was abolished and non Muslims could join the army BUT many other forms of gross discrimination were permitted such as the testimony of Christians against Muslims not being accepted in courts.
It is ironic that the confusion of the Crimean War 160 years ago has been reproduced in the equally confused and illogical alliances of the Russophobia crisis in NATO/EU whose pseudo elites risk Muslim domination in the Balkans, mass islamic migrations and Turkish undermining of NATO rather than friendship and alliance with Christian Russia.
GERMAN EUROPE AND TURKEY
The EU, dominated by Germany both economically and politically cannot help but recreate the structures and geopolitics of previous eras of German domination. In the case of Islam this means reprising both the alliance with the Islamic Turkish Empire of the First World War (when the German Kaiser called for Turkish and Middle Eastern Jihad against the Allies) and the personal relationship of Hitler with the violently anti Semitic Grand Mufti of Jerusalem during the Second World War.
Once again we must distinguish between the German State with its “political class” and “mainstream media” on the one hand and the German people who – unusually – are beginning to rebel. So – the German State has since the early 1990s promoted Islam in the Balkans – in Bosnia and Kosovo – to destroy Yugoslavia – mirroring the Nazi establishment of Waffen SS divisions of Muslims in Yugoslavia during the Second World War.
The alliance with Turkey in the First World War (during which the Armenian genocide was carried out) in order to stop the export of Russian grain from the Ukraine is today mirrored in the EU/NATO illegal coup in Ukraine and the bullying of Eastern Europe so as to prevent the building of Russian gas pipelines.
The EU’s appeasement of the aggressive, Jihadist leadership in Turkey (threatening to “march on Jerusalem” in the “spirit of Saladdin”) and the promotion of the Erdogan dictatorship while attacking the far more free, geopolitically more co-operative, increasingly democratic capitalist, Christian Russia – all shows the imprint of past periods of German domination – and US corporate collaboration! Today the political establishments in Washington and London have joined in the madness.
As a fully signed up member of the German EU project David Cameron while claiming that Turkey would not join the EU “until the year 3000” had his Embassy promote Turkey’s EU membership with a “dedicated team working on Turkey’s prospects of joining the EU”. This apparently included Muslim states in the former Yugoslavia!
Turkey has given support to Albanian Muslims in both Kosovo, where Serbs and Jews were driven out, and Macedonia (where the Kosovo tragedy of Islamic demographic and military conquest is being mimicked). Christian churches have been burned and the Muslim population has risen from 13% to 30% since the 1960s. The Macedonian capital Skopje is under threat as a Christian Slav city. The historic pattern of Islamist expansion is playing out – with Turkey’s Islamic Government in support. (Srdja Trifkovic at Chronicles Magazine has written in detail on this)
Germany itself continues to promote Islam both with 200 Saudi financed mosques in Germany itself, the acceptance of over a million mainly Muslim Middle East and African refugees and its defence of Erdogan. Ruprecht Polenz (CDU), Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the German Bundestag recently said that Turkey was growing strongly which “could soon allow it to pursue an independent Middle East policy, even at the expense of German and European interests” and that therefore Germany should reconsider their opposition to Turkey joining the EU. No wonder Erdogan was emboldened to repeatedly warn Turkish immigrants not to assimilate into German society. During a trip to Berlin in November 2011, Erdogan declared: “Assimilation is a violation of human rights.” There is nothing new about such an attitude – it is the very essence of that Islamic belief system which Merkel, Cameron and Hollande welcomed into Europe!
The political atmosphere in Turkey certainly mirrors the more dictatorial attitudes of Germany and Brussels towards their “European citizens”. A recent Al Monitor article asserted that “Obedience to the leader is a must” and Ankara Mayor Melih Gokcek wrote “The concept of a leader and absolute obedience to this leader exists in our faith, in our state tradition.” How similar to the Nazi “Fuehrerprinzip” – and the attitudes of so many of the Euro-elite in Brussels who openly attack and deprecate the voter – especially when they “vote the wrong way”).
Just as the Caliphate abhors nations so the EU abhors the nation state.
There are now such widespread attacks on Christianity in the EU and accusations of “Islamophobia” in the face of murder and bombings that it hardly seems surprising that no word of criticism is audible when the Turkish Government expropriates in Diyarbakir property including all its Orthodox, Catholic and Protestant churches.
When, following the failed Turkey coup and the arrest or dismissal of some 70,000 Turks, the NATO airbase at Incirlik inside Turkey (where US nuclear bombs are stored) is surrounded by Turkish forces and the US is accused by Erdogan of being involved in the coup, surely even the most moronic of supporters of Turkey’s NATO membership must have doubts?
The interests of Russia, Europe, the UK and the USA coincide when it comes to Turkey and Middle East Islamic extremism. The only place where this is happening is where that extremism is being defeated – Syria and Iraq.
