The real Left on both sides of the Atlantic prefer the anti-corporatist, anti corruption Trump to warmonger Clinton – the darling of Wall Street, Arab money and the puppet of Soros.
“’I watched as we built schools in Iraq and they’d be blown up,’ Trump said. ‘And we’d build another one and yet we can’t build a school in Brooklyn”
“The danger to the rest of us is not Trump, but Hillary Clinton. She is no maverick. She embodies the resilience and violence of a system whose vaunted ‘exceptionalism’ is totalitarian with an occasional liberal face.” John Pilger
As Freenations has repeatedly shown over the last 22 years the people of the Western “capitalist democracies” have lost both their capitalist choices in free markets and their democratic choices in parliamentary election.
Both expressions of the peoples’ will have been destroyed by an unholy alliance of the elitist (ie a self declared “elite”) authoritarian Left and the corporatist Statist Right. There were opponents within both the Left and the Right for this move towards corporatist fascism (represented by the all-powerful and undemocratic European Union) but as genuinely accountable democratic individuals they did not have the power of the collectivists and the Corporatists who dominate the mass media.
But then there occurred two revolutions – the Internet which circumvented the mainstream media controlled by the politicians – and the revolt against the political parties who, by moving onto the same ground had effectively attacked the people by removing any real alternatives for people to vote for.
It takes a long time for a corrupt apparently democratic system to collapse. Ironically a corrupt anti democratic system might have collapsed sooner! Equally ironic is the fact that the least “civilised” leaders in the rebellions tend to be clearer in their analysis of the decadence they are fighting. The crude untutored Donald Trump of questionable sexual history (so like Bill Clinton and the Kennedys in that respect), is a genuine, democratic, anti corruption, anti-corporatist activist while – for instance – Janis Varoufakis the former Economics Minister of the far left Syriza party in Greece, while seeing the disaster of the EU and its destructive Euro felt socially inhibited from withdrawing from either!
THE VAROUFAKIS NON REVOLT
On the one hand Varoufakis wanted Aristotle’s “constitution in which the free and the poor being majority control Government” but did not understand that that can only emerge when community capitalist principles, competition, sound money and free trade give the people the power to challenge rulers and States – and above all totalitarian Superstates like the EU – or that other system based on the socialist ideals of his own Syriza party – the USSR.
You would think Varoufakis would grasp that it is Putin’s Russia which both totally rejects the top down socialist control of the USSR and the power grabbing, Eastward moving corporatist European Union. While Putin rightly sees NATO/EU as the enemy, Varoufakis actually persuaded Alexis Tsipras the Syriza leader to stay within the EU. And this was after the German Finance Minister, Wolfgang Schaeuble, had told him that “Greek elections cannot be allowed to change the economic programme for Greece”.
Varoufakis’s extraordinary solutions to “saving the Euro-zone” were “recalibrating the Euro”, restructuring the banks, developing green technologies and introducing food stamps! The rebelliousness of the motorbike riding, leather clad Varoufakis knew its social limits and so he compromised politically. The entrepreneur Donald Trump is made of stronger stuff – which is why he is the threat to the Establishment which Varoufakis was not.
THE TRUMP REVOLT
Now take Trump – a man who has made his wealth by risking his own capital, taking big losses when he failed, employing thousands (including Hillary Clinton’s beloved Mexicans), paying taxes when profitable and NOT being part of the Wall Street corporatist mafia with whom Hillary Clinton (the defender of the poor!) is happy to dine and give highly paid speeches and from whom she receives massive donations for her Presidential campaign and for the Clinton Foundation.
Trump works for the people – otherwise he goes bust. Clinton works on the people but never invests a penny of her own in creating wealth or jobs. Her Clinton Foundation is a charity – so not likely to pay any taxes on the tens of millions of Dollars she and her husband Bill garner from big corporations, big media concerns and Arab sheiks!
THE CORRUPT INFLUENCE OF SOROS – VOTE AND NATION BUYER
One of the most powerful and politically corrupt business men in the world is George Soros, a Clinton supporter, who never invested his own but for decades managed “other peoples’ money” – given to him by other financial institutions managing “other peoples’ money”! Soros sets up institutes all over the world to undermine Governments he does not like and push socialist/corporatist agendas like laws for LGBT rights. He seems to avoid Middle east Islamic countries with his LGBT campaign – they might stop funding Hillary Clinton! Soros’ fortune has been put into promoting drug legalisation, voting rights for criminals, euthanasia, illegal immigrants and prostitutes. Soros said of mass migrations “Our plan treats the protection of refugees as the objective and national borders as the obstacle…..” and the Prime Minister of Hungary said “His name is perhaps the strongest example of those who support anything that weakens nation states, they support everything that changes the traditional European lifestyle […] These activists who support immigrants inadvertently become part of this international human-smuggling network.”
Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager Robby Mook and Clinton top aide Huma Abedin exchanged emails about Soros inviting her to speak for the organization “America Votes.” Mook tells Abedin…“I would only do this for political reasons (ie to make Soros happy).” A convicted insider trader Soros admits he is just interested in making money:
“I am basically there to make money. I cannot and do not look at the social consequences of what I do,” and “I don’t feel guilty.
Because I’m engaged in an amoral activity which is not meant to have anything to do with guilt.”
Soros is also heavily involved in campaigns for voter registration – selectively of course! Leaked conversations between Clinton staff also show how the Soros funded Democrat party manipulate the voters: “What do you need for an illegal alien to vote? What makes you a citizen? An ID card of any kind and a pay stub with a local address:. To get registered? If I hired illegal aliens could I use them to get more registered voters?” Creamer: “the people that are involved in Hispanic registration… I mean there are a couple of different organizations that’s their big trick.” Another conversation betrays the certainty that, when elected, Clinton will allow all illegal aliens to vote anyway!
This manipulation even extends to opinion polls which are rigged to show a big Democrat lead – which for instance is at odds with the tens of thousands who turn out for Trump- Pence appearances while in Palm Beach 30 turned up for Clinton’s running mate, Tim Kaine. And half of those were probably party workers!
Thus we see the alliance of left wing social destruction of traditional society (and electoral systems) and the Corporate establishment. There are two major sources of loss of power to the American voter. First mass migration supported by Obama and Clinton has brought cheaper labour to undercut US workers. Secondly both Republican and Democrat Establishments in Washington are willingly persuaded by big business-paid lobbyists to guide legislation in their direction while ignoring the powerless voters. The voters turn up impersonally with votes every 2 – 4 years but the lobbyists turn up every day on Capitol Hill.
As William Bennett, a former US Secretary of State for Education, so ably puts it there is now, in Donald Trump, a great threat to this cosy relationship between left, right, business and the State.
It’s a heck of a filthy relationship that makes everyone filthy rich, everyone except the American
people. But for once, the powerful socialist cabal and the corrupt crony
capitalists are scared. The over-the-top reaction to Trump by
politicians of both parties, the media, and the biggest corporations
of America has been so swift and insanely angry that it suggests
they are all threatened and frightened.”
THE LEFT FOR TRUMP
No wonder that the anti-corporatist Left is just as angry as the anti-corporatist Right and in the USA and elsewhere are prepared to praise Trump where praise is due. They are like the few on the British Left who voted against appeasement in the 1930s and the few in the Labour Party who campaigned to leave the corporatist EU in the Brexit referendum. In both those movements they were joined by the democratic, classical Liberal Right.
Today we see the Australian socialist John Pilger giving Trump credit for being the revolutionary he is – see quote at the beginning of this article. Jean Bricmont on the European Left praises Trump:
“He wants good relations with Russia. He observes that the militarist policies pursued for decades have caused the United States to be hated throughout the world.”
We see in all these domestic corporatist and external imperialist movements so beloved of the Establishments of Left and Right a complete disconnect with the peoples who elected them and who pay their salaries. These Establishments are no different than the pre-democratic (or even pre parliamentary) absolute monarchs of the past. Instead of an appeal to inheritance or “the divine right of Kings” as justifications we see the Left’s presumed absolute morality and the corporatist Right’s justification by permanent profit.
Another figure on the American Left, Bill Blum, sees who the real threat to peace is – and it is not Donald Trump:
“Hillary Clinton is an unholy disaster. From Iraq and Syria to Libya and Honduras the world is a much worse place because of her; so much so that I’d call her a war criminal who should be prosecuted.”
The US Presidential election is a lesson to the whole world. The Western world is decadent and therefore aggressive. The USA is seen worldwide, according to opinion polls, as the biggest threat to world peace. The geopolitical disaster of pushing Putin’s Russia towards communist and imperialist China has denied the peoples of the western “once democracies” their best ally. Victory for Clinton would deny us another.
