My Radio interview on the May Withdrawal Deal crisis:

- Mrs May’s Deal should never have been put before Parliament again. Putting part of an Agreement which has no meaning without the integral Political Declaration was a lie and a deception and the Speaker acted unconstitutionally in allowing it.
- Parliament dare not vote against Brexit. MPs have shown they cannot agree on an alternative and even if they could it would require Government legislation which would mean electoral death to the Conservative Party
- No deal (which is the deal which 160 other countries have with the EU on WTO terms) is now very probable. Only when the UK is sovereign and independent can it negotiate a free trade deal on a level playing field.
- Replacing Mrs May if Parliament passed her Deal would be like replacing “a chess player who has lost all the major pieces in the first half of the game” (Martin Howe QC). Even the Archangel Gabriel could not negotiate a trade deal from that position.
- The Remain May Government negotiated a Remain “Brexit” and called it “Leave”.
- She was negotiating as an elected Prime Minister with an UNELECTED BUREAUCRACY who were not at all affected by democratic constraints or accountability.
- Barnier the EU Chief Negotiator said he would have succeeded if the Deal on offer was worse than staying in. He did just that – and Mrs May swallowed it. But the British people are not so stupid.
