You can just imagine the clenched teeth of the media, the corporatist right and elitist left who poured millions into Clinton’s coffers as they say “the people have spoken – the bastards!”
In January a President will sit in the White House who represents the old values of nationism, democratic capitalism, fair pay for industrial workers, just taxes for multinationals and that fair trade which makes mass migrations unnecessary.
What we have seen in Brexit in the UK and Trump in the USA, in the revolts of communists, socialists, libertarians, and oddball parties in the EU and in the growing sympathy among the excluded voters on both sides of the Atlantic for Russia as it faces down NATO aggression – in all this we see the triumph of the people and their democratic sovereignty over the globalist corporatism and multicultural socialism which is destroying them.
For those who have read this website over the last 20 years Trump’s triumph will be no surprise. The so-called capitalist democracies of the “free” West became – after the 1960s – ever more Statist, anti-democratic and corporatist. The sight which greeted the eyes of post soviet, post communist Russia and Eastern Europe was a decadent, debt laden, economically collapsing regime with mass unemployment and a welfare dependency almost designed to cripple the human spirit and destroy free peoples.
The UK and USA who had, along with the Soviet Union, defeated Nazism and Fascism and German imperialism have now encouraged the resurgence of those very philosophies. The British and Americans died in their hundreds of thousands to restore the free nations of Europe – in the West after 1945 and in the East after 1989. Now their political classes are the main movers in their destruction.
Russia wanted to accept the wealth creation of democratic capitalism, the prosperity of international trade and the community spirit and accountability of parliamentary systems. They looked to the West and found from the USA and the UK had nothing but corporatist corruption of the market place and corporatist-leftist corruption of the voting process.
The “privatisations” in the West had just handed more power to collective capital in big business and the City where the obscenely over-paid managed “other peoples’ money” – with any windfalls used by the State authoritarian Left to construct their voter defying interest groups and quangos. So after the fall of the Berlin Wall West Germany could not wait to exploit the cheap labour from the East and EU big business could not wait to buy at knock down prices the assets of the newly “free” East. Russia was willing to see the buffer of free, independent East European States pursuing their own interests with the help of the West.
But that is not what happened for by then the Western European idea of a free nation was to abandon its freedom – on the altar of the new European Superstate and its imperial invasion, not with tanks but with constitutional destruction, not with soldiers but with the free movement of citizens to break down their borders, not with munitions but with regulations and administrative control. So in marched the EU flag, an embryo army, a barrage of technocrats and an army of Brussels bureaucrats, their power unchallenged because the very cradle of democracy – the nation state – had been wiped out.
All that is the destructive, imperialist and alienating logic that Brexit and Trump have now shocked into defeat. The people have – understandably – taken a long time to grasp what was happening to them. Now they have seen – and are fighting back.
Trump will not be pushing troops and missiles into confrontation with Russia. Trump will not be kowtowing to big business and their tax avoidance. He will not tolerate the power of Wall Street to dictate the political agenda but he will join with Brexit Britain and all free peoples to restore national sovereignty and free and fair trade – not the corporatists idea of freedom to invest and dictate, avoid taxes, buy votes, exploit the poorest and control mass media and governments.
