**** the EU!
Barroso’s “achievements” incite revolt
Rodney Atkinson
It is remarkable how these compassionate corporatists and socially conscious socialists who support the EU think 25 million unemployed and social and economic devastation is a price worth paying for their fatuous empire. One tenth of such pain inflicted by democratic nation states and those very political bigots would be calling for revolution!
From the USA (whence the above pithy invective came) to the UK (where EU policy on deliberate flooding contributed to the disaster in Southern England and ministers daily find they are powerless) to the Ukraine (where German Europe’s undermining of a sovereign elected Government threatens confrontation with Russia) to Switzerland where the democratic voice of its citizens reverses the disastrous policy of allowing free movement from the EU (foreigners now account for 25% of the Swiss population) and is condemned by the Brussels imperialists, everywhere the boiling frogs are at last noticing the heat!
Adolf Hitler summed up this principle of conquest (that is the slow, at first imperceptible heating of a pot until by the time the frog notices the unbearable heat it is too late and he is cooked!). “The best way to take control over a people and control them utterly is to take a little of their freedom at a time, to erode rights be a thousand tiny and almost imperceptible reductions…..until they are past the point at which these changes can be reversed”
A modern day euro-fascist, the former Prime Minister of Italy and Vice Chairman of the European Union’s Constitutional Convention Giuliani Amato took pride in a similar process: “Sovereignty lost on a national level does not pass to any new individual. It is entrusted to a faceless entity….and those in command can neither be identified nor elected…… By moving, the power we are used to will disappear”.
“**** the EU” – the internationally popular words of Victoria Nuland the Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs at the US State Department – were a reaction to the blatant imperial interventions in Ukrainian affairs by the European Union. The USA may at last be waking up to the EU’s fascist imperialist nature which every President from John F Kennedy to Obama have promoted and supported. As in the 1930s the left has been the greatest appeaser of fascism.
The usual corporatist fascist reaction from the EU towards Switzerland (accusing them of “populism” – the dictator’s word for democracy – threatening Swiss trade with the EU and reactionary abuse from Germany calling the Swiss “primitive mountain dwellers”) was all predictable. No imperialist likes to see free nations and no fascist likes democratic voices.
BAROSSO’S SELF PROCLAIMED “ACHIEVMENTS”
A booklet describing the marvellous achievments of the Borroso led European Commission is to be launched before the European elections in May, according to a letter from Barroso to his fellow EU commissioners. “Wherever possible, we should try to use pictures instead of text to convey our messages”. Doubtless there will photos of queues for free food in Athens or bankrupted Cyprus bank customers or millions of empty homes in Spain
Barroso’s second term in office ends later this year and they want to be remembered for helping the EU “emerge” from the crisis – CAUSED BY HIS FIRST PERIOD IN OFFICE! If the ongoing political, economic and social catstrophe counts as a recovery then God help the people of the EU if there were ever a crisis!!
“We have a great story to tell and we should put our unique contribution to (sic) record,” says Barroso. Indeed he should put it on record, it is unique! 25m unemployed in the EU, 60% youth unemployment in some states, virtually all EU countries and the EU itself downgraded as credit risks, a massive loss in share of world trade, social breakdown in Greece, Ireland, Spain and Portugal and a collapse of the French economy. “Any idea of how to use this product further will, of course, be most welcome” he writes!
The British people will be particularly grateful for Barosso’s achievments since the British Government expects to pay £5bn more into the EU budget between now and 2018 due to lower VAT receipts across the EU. The Euro catastrophe means a greater burden on the British who had the sense to reject the Euro! “The historians have benefitted greatly from the personal memoirs and recollections of our predecessors”, Barroso writes – unlike the people who have suffered from their time in office, still suffer to this day and who will be suffering for generations to come as they pay off the massive debts incurred to keep the Euro farce going.
