The Vatican and Islam – historic opportunism

The misconduct of the Crusaders paved the way for the Turkish invasion of the Balkans, caused the establishment of the Ottoman Empire and led to an unholy alliance which underlies the conflicts of the Balkans into the 21st century.

Our political life is so ruled by propaganda, that we do not know the difference between truth and fable. Do you really know who was mass-murdering the Moslems and the Serbs in Bosnia, in Kosovo, etc.? Could it be our old friend and ally Osama bin Laden? And for which European powers has the chaos in Yugoslavia been so useful?

During the dark ages, while Western Europe was brutally ruled by tribal Franks, their neighbours to the East, the Moravians, were creating their own civilization, based on Byzantine culture. They founded their own university in 863; they had the Holy Bible written in their own language, in their churches, with the permission and blessings of several Popes of Rome, Slavonic liturgy was celebrated.

The Pope of Rome, Stephen (V) VI*, was faced with famine caused by a drought and by locusts, and as the papal treasury was empty, he fell back on his family’s wealth. He also eyed the rich and prosperous lands of the Moravians to the East. In 885 he forbade the Slavonic liturgy, declared the disciples of St. Paul heretics and encouraged the murder of Slavonic priests.Many of the priests and lettered Moravians were sold into slavery in Venice. Within twenty years all traces of Moravian civilization had disappeared.

All these profits healed the papal coffers. You do not have to try to imagine the consequences. Just recall Hitler’s ‘handiwork’ or the fervour of Albanians as they ethnically cleanse Kosovo under the watchful eyes of NATO.

Pope Urban II declared a “holy war” at Clermont in 1095 – “God wills it (Deus lo volt)”.
Christendom was now waging a “holy war” (Jihad) against the infidel. The Germans sought the Church’s blessing for their ‘Drive toward the East’ (Drang nach Osten); in 1147 the church gave its blessing and promised the same spiritual rewards for fighting the Slavs as for warring against Moslem “infidels”.

During the Fourth Crusade, Venetians captured and plundered Constantinople in 1204.
These events created a great rift and hostility between the West and Byzantium. It weakened the Byzantine empire to such a degree, that it could not resist future Turkish attacks. This opened the gates of the Balkans to the Sunni Ottomans.
Constantinople was retaken by Byzantines in 1261.

In 1356 the Ottoman army overwhelmed Byzantium and crossed the Dardanelles to Gallipoli.
In 1453 the Ottomans captured Constantinople.
In 1389 the Serbs were defeated in the battle of Kosovo and Serbia was occupied by the Ottoman Empire.

Through the centuries, some Bosnian Orthodox Christians and Albanians were converted to Islam. After Croatia fell under occupation by the Habsburgs (1745 – 1815), Croat Orthodox Christians were forcibly converted to Roman Catholicism.

In the finest tradition of the Christendom’s “holy war, Jihad” on the Slavs, Western democracies “rewarded” Serbs for their contribution toward defeating Hitler (by saving American lives, etc.) and helped Germany to penalize the same Serbs for keeping 12 German crack divisions pinned down in the hills of Yugoslavia, when the same divisions could have been better utilized elsewhere against American and British forces.

Under the protection of NATO, Western democracies allowed Albanians to move into ‘liberated’ Kosovo territories, where there were no Albanians before the seventeenth century.

Western democracies have been taken by ‘sweet’ propaganda of Albanians and Osama bin Laden, just as Western democracies were attracted by Hitler’s. Communism and Nazism are products of the ‘best and brightest’ minds of Germany. The establishment of Communism in Russia was supported by the German Kaiser Wilhelm II. Western democracies rewarded Germany for that policy and penalized the victims of Communism.

Today Western democracies have funded Muslims in the Balkans and Afghanistan, introduced the extreme Wahabi Sunnis into Europe via Albanian Kosovo, swallowed the propaganda of the Roman Church in Croatia and aided the ethnic cleansing of one million Orthodox Serbs. In the Balkans, in Eastern Europe and the former territories of Russia, Western democracies support the German “Drang nach Osten” and the Catholic Church’s “holy war” against the Slavs.
