There are two No Deal Brexits on offer – Mrs May’s disastrous deal and the clean, clear freedom and democratic sovereignty of what the ignorant call “no deal”. Luckily it looks as if even May’s government is making timely preparations for the latter and Trade Secretary Liam Fox is making good progress on post Brexit trade agreements even though they are not critical to immediate post Brexit trade. The USA has once again offered a good trade deal and Japan would like to see the UK in the CPTPP – a free trade agreement between Canada and 10 other countries on the Pacific rim representing 495m consumers and 13.5% of GDP with many of those countries closely associated with British legal systems.
If the UK joined and encouraged the USA to do so the trade agreement could cover 45% of global GDP – compared to the 20% (and falling) share enjoyed by the European Union. That would be a genuinely global agreement for global Britain rather than a closed, decaying, constitution-destroying “little European” future.
- MRS MAY’S DISASTROUS NO DEAL BREXIT
This the most constitutionally disastrous document ever presented to a British parliament. It binds us for another two years to the European Court, to free movement of people, to the single market and its regulations, to the customs union which prevents us making trade deals, to the common agriculture and fishing policies and all the while we are powerless without votes, MEPs or judges.
It further makes us, through the Irish backstop, perpetual potential prisoners, prey to any blackmail which any one of 27 countries (Spain on Gibraltar, France or Holland on fishing rights, the EU in general on the City of London or free movement) could choose as a weapon. A Spanish warship has just tried to order commercial shipping to leave anchorages in British waters near Gibraltar but was challenged by the British navy and sailed away! Our navy could not make the May Withdrawal Agreement sail away!
The May deal is far worse than actual EU membership since we can at least now leave on our own volition whereas under this moronic deal we could not leave unless the EU said we could. That any MP could ever have voted for this beggars belief.

For instance it assumes the base case for a future trade agreement will be the EU customs union – thus preventing us from making the urgent international trade deals we need. It also assumes a big role for EU law in the future relationship thus contradicting everything May has laid down as a clean Brexit.
The May deal not only provides no trade agreement it actually sets out terms which would make such an agreement and future UK independent trade action impossible
2. THE GOOD NO DEAL BREXIT
The good “no deal” Brexit is leaving on the 29th March with
- freedom to trade
- freedom to make new trade deals
outside the single market and its stifing regulations on ALL British industry even though less than 10% of British companies trade with the EU - outside the Customs union so we can set our own tariffs and reduce costs for the average household
- outside the common fisheries policy controlling our own fishing grounds (which hold 80% of EU fish which we will now no longer have to give away to others)
- outside the common agricultural policy
- outside the jurisdiction of the European Court
- saving £39billion in the EU exit fine
This is the “disastrous” “cliff edge” deal from which so many of our MPs apparently want to “save us”. You could not make it up!
CORBYN’S BREXIT BETRAYAL
The Labour party is on the brink of break up. It has become a party of three irreconcilable ideologies:
- Blairite Eurofanaticism,
- Corbynist communism (but incredibly embracing EU corporatist fascism)
- the traditional eurosceptic welfare socialists
It cannot survive but in the meantime it has decided to ditch its (anti EU) working class in favour of Islington metropolitan elitist socialism and euro federalism. Corbyn has said either his mad policy of staying in the customs union and half staying in the single market is accepted or he will support a second referendum. The second referendum is unlikely to pass in parliament but telling people to vote again and his form of “Brexit in name only” will alienate much of his working class vote outside London and the South East.
THE NON BRITISH UK CAR INDUSTRY
Thousands of job losses have recently been announced by what passes for the “British” car industry. Honda is closing its Swindon plant – its only one in the EU and it is NOT moving to the EU but to Japan. Why? because the growth areas are in Asia and the USA not Europe – as Jaguar results recently showed. The EU has too many car producers, not enough consumers, too high anti diesel costs thanks to EU regulations and little GDP growth. Luckily the British car industry disappeared years ago and the big British exporters of cars are all foreign owned, importing 60% of the parts and exporting 100% of the profits! Foreign shareholders will suffer not British! for the UK is just an aircraft carrier for assembly jobs.
The auto industry is in crisis across Europe. EU regulations threaten the diesel engined cars. Output and new orders in the European autos and parts sector are now falling at their fastest rate for many years. The Japanese – EU trade agreement will remove tariffs from Japanese cars so there will be little incentive to manufacture inside the EU.
Honda, Nissan and Toyota and the other foreign car companies enticed at massive cost into the UK were part of the logic of the EU and were always vulnerable to mobile investment elsewhere – even if the UK stayed in the EU. Perhaps we can now use the empty factories to build British cars built by British companies again.
